Strategically cultivates and strengthens corporate relations with and between employers, students, alumni, and faculty to effectively deliver comprehensive employer development services.
Strategically identify and build relationships with local, state, and regional employers for recruitment of students and alumni for internship and full-time career opportunities.
Advises employers on marketing strategies that will help them build their brands on campus and increase loyalty to Miami University.
Fosters employer relationships between employers and academic divisions of the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science, to increase internship and full-time career employment opportunities for all students.
Supervise the Employer Relations staff.
Plan and facilitate annual career fairs and on-campus recruitment.
Market, facilitate, and train users of the online career services management system.
Supports the collection, analysis, and reporting of data regarding recruiting activities, job placements, and salaries.
Participate actively in various local, state, regional, and national organizations to increase employment opportunities for students and alumni.
Collaborate with the Regionals’ Communication & Marketing team to design and develop marketing material to employers, including website content, by composing and coordinating timing of communications to employers.
Provide leadership for the Employer Relations staff in strategic planning and goal setting, monthly and annual reports, etc.
Attend CSPD team meetings, participate in professional development activities, and represent CSPD on campus and in the community as needed.
Assist in large office projects and other duties assigned by the director.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, workforce education, business, marketing/sales, psychology, or related discipline.
Two years of experience in a human resources, recruitment, talent management, community or nonprofit management, university career services, or related field.
Experience with college recruiting, from a higher education or a business perspective.
Multi-faceted customer services skill set including organization, strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications, presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Knowledge of current employment trends, employer branding strategies, and targeted recruitment principles, procedures and resources.
Proficient with MS Office suite and Google Docs.
Master’s degree in HR, workforce education, business, psychology, or related discipline
Experience in marketing, negotiation, and strategic planning.
