The incumbent is responsible for the management of teaching assigned open-enrollment courses, custom project courses, and online courses, and will serve as a lead facilitator and instructor for Lake Institute on Faith & Giving. This position will also provide oversight to course delivery and manage and communicate recommendations for course revisions and new course development. This responsibility includes consulting with the Managing Director to design, develop and recommend innovative strategies for improving courses and overall course delivery.
Oversee and manage teaching open enrollment courses, custom project courses and online courses.
Manage the course delivery and collaborate with others to expand the visibility and presence of Lake Institute on Faith & Giving.
Focus on professionally developing the area of education.
Nurturing relationships necessary for developing new partnerships and expanded opportunities for the educational programming.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree, plus 5 years of relevant experience in teaching or a combination of three years teaching and two years in a related field (fundraising, educational administration, religious institutional leadership).
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, managerial experience, project management and customer relations. Commitment to and understanding of the role of philanthropy, nonprofits, and fundraising. Needs to possess extensive experience as a teacher, lecturer, or trainer for adult learners, fundraising knowledge and experience, and excellent writing and editorial skills.
Master's Degree in theology, divinity, religion, or adult education.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time, when teaching courses and making presentations. Long hours at a computer screen, Some moving. Travel is required.
