Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will come at an exciting time for the field of vascular medicine and the society. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with demonstrated experience in a membership association or related entity of similar size, scope, and complexity. He or she will oversee the daily operations of the society and advance the AVF’s vision, mission, strategic priorities, and financial objectives on behalf of its members. In combination with the President of the AVF and its elected leaders, the Executive Director will represent the organization on a global basis. He or she will possess strong business and financial acumen, a dynamic outlook and be a collaborative bridge-builder. The ideal candidate is both a strategic and operational leader with the ability to set a vision for the organization while having excellent hands-on capabilities to execute and deliver results.
At least 10 years of relevant executive-level leadership experience in an organization with a similar degree of complexity is required.
Specific qualifications include:
An undergraduate degree is required with a master’s degree or CAE certification preferred.
Proven track record of strategic and operational leadership and accomplishment of annual goals.
Knowledgeable of the field of healthcare.
Demonstrated experience in governance (Boards and Committees).
Telecommuting is allowed.
