Considerations: Position works full time in our Park City, UT office and is required to be lodged in Park City, UT for 2 weeks during the January Film Festival. In addition, this role works extended hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends at key points throughout the year. Occasional travel to other Institute offices and events may be required.
Position General Summary: Directly responsible for overseeing the Sundance Film Festival ticketing department to ensure exemplary operations and customer service is provided internally and externally.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
Oversees the Festival ticketing program to ensure successful operations during the Sundance Film Festival.
Executes strategic ticketing plans to support the direction and mission of Sundance Institute.
Ensures all ticketing operations run efficiently and issues are resolved promptly.
Continually evaluates existing systems, software and procedures, for efficiency and innovation and utilizes best practices to implement changes as needed.
Creates, implements, and oversees Ticketing contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
Develops and manages the revenue budgets for the Ticketing Department (Ticketing is accountable for approximately $12 million in revenue sales).
Develops consistent Customer Service policies and resolves high level Customer Service issues (the Ticketing Department interacts with upwards of 10,000 customers annually).
Develops and manages the ticketing budget.
Oversees and directs the operations for the Festival Ticketing Department
Conducts a thorough assessment of overall ticket demand in order to set allocations in order to meet revenue projections and accommodate the ticket needs of all constituents.
Manages year-round and seasonal staff, includes selecting and training highly effective staff, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure employees understand responsibilities and are effective in their roles, and delegates appropriate and meaningful work(the Ticketing Department employs over 80 seasonal staff).
Leads and administers the organization's charitable donations program.
Collaborates with Marketing to develop marketing strategies to increase sales.
Generates reports and statistics and conducts analysis in regards to ticket sales, redemption of sold tickets, attendance patterns for theater capacities and revenue projections, etc.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.
7 years experience managing ticketing operations for a large event or venue.
Experience with managing subscription or group sales.
Experience with Ticketing and CRM systems.
Experience managing a large team of staff and volunteers across different functions and locations.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills and the ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines with a track record as a self-starter.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, arts administration or related.
