Summary of Position: Join a passionate and growing team that is innovating and developing new ways to assist higher education institutions in providing their students with impactful and unique international experiences. The Institutional Market Analyst, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs reports to the Executive Director, and is responsible for developing and managing market and competitive intelligence in the faculty-led and custom space as well as adjacent study abroad market spaces.
This role manages prospect/market research and does analytic tasks to build market insights that help inform business planning, business development and sales goals and objectives. This position offers the opportunity to develop and build expertise in B2B higher education’s sales strategies and identifying prospective B2B clients. As a key research and information steward within a growing business unit, the Analyst must enjoy and excel at working cross-functionally and maintaining objectivity to develop and produce actionable market, existing and prospective consumer as well as competitor insights. This newly created position is designed to proactively monitor market, source prospective clients, identify sub-markets, maintain institutional intelligence and interpret sales data to recommend potential action steps to the Faculty-led & Custom Programs sales team. The Analyst is expected to utilize critical thinking skills and be self-motivated to create a positive impact for Faculty-led & Custom Programs sales team and leadership.
Market & Prospect Research
Develop synthesized market, industry, and competitive intelligence reports, primarily to identify new prospective clients and opportunities to grow existing client business. Track competition in terms of offerings and pricing. Monitor existing and new market entrants. Conduct secondary research.
Collect, validate, analyze and interpret a broad range of market-related data including financial, market, and competitive insights needed to develop strategic sales strategies, potential new product strategies, new locations, new disciplines, and new sub-markets (first year, graduate, STEM etc.)
As needed, support primary market research needs that include responsibilities such as programming surveys, panel management, data entry, statistically analyzing results and preparing presentation reports
Financial and Sales Forecasting
Design, implement and manage monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasting reports.
Proactively and reactively create reports and analysis that support actionable decision-making for FAC sales team and leaderships. This could include, but is not limited to, analysis that assess customer trends, customer segmentation, territory productivity, account retention, close rates, pipeline health and territory growth
Do market segment and product analyses with financial implications to identify opportunities and estimate ROI and strategies to increase ROI. Respond to and track ad hoc business planning and marketing requests to inform on market conditions and planning opportunities
Assist with special projects and other tasks as necessary to ensure smooth operation of the Faculty-led & Custom Programs team and the broader Institutional engagement focused teams.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Regular attendance and timeliness is essential
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing or other analytical/ business fields
Minimum 4+ years’ experience in financial analysis supporting sales or marketing
Highly proficient with Salesforce.com, SharePoint and Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are required
Self-starter who combines a strong technical understanding with excellent verbal, presentation and written communication and social skills
Ability to apply professional and solution expertise to identify innovative solutions that meet customer and business needs
Ability to clearly communicate complex, quantitative information
Excellent financial analysis skills with a good understanding of how to manipulate data for analysis and reporting
Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail
Experience in managing multiple reports, often on tight deadlines, with diverse priorities
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced high growth environment
