Manage and support the execution and delivery of Boston Universitys Sourcing & Procurement strategy. Develop and implement a reach-out strategy with a scalable approach using a combination of training methodologies (i.e. WebEx, recordings, training portals, classroom sessions) to ensure that all employees receive the necessary procurement training. Coordinate and manage the Sourcing & Procurement website, content, and updates in support of Sourcing & Procurement communications. Lead training programs in order to achieve quick adoption of procurement programs. Develop and deliver a marketing program and plan for Sourcing & Procurement. Utilize departmental communication tools such as Sourcing News, the Sourcing Website, and the monthly operational reports to facilitate communications. Develop and maintain department and specific job training qualifications that ensurethe department is compliant with company, industry, and regulatory guidelines. Maintain all training documentation and standard operating procedure documentation.
B.A./B.S. in business, finance, accounting, management, nonprofit administration, or public administration; strong public speaking, written and interpersonal communication skills; strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects with multiple stakeholders; the ability to lead with vision and motivateothers; professionalism, good judgment, and integrity; at least three years of procurement experience within the higher education, nonprofit, public service or private sectors or equivalent combination of education and experience in related/applicable areas and at least three years of experience with SAP SRM or other major ERP system with electronic procurement/catalog functionality.
