Loyola Law School, Los Angeles is currently seeking a Senior Director of Development. As a senior member of the Law School Advancement team, this position is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction in the Law School’s next comprehensive campaign. This position will strategically cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors. Develop and implement a comprehensive major and planned gift program to involve alumni, friends, and law firms in the mission and goals of Loyola Law School. The Senior Director will be expected to raise major and planned gifts ($100,000 and more) in support of the School’s fundraising priorities.

We seek candidates who typically hold a Bachelor’s Degree or have equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. Candidates must have at minimum seven (7) years of professional fundraising, preferably in higher education. A track-record that demonstrates solid fundraising results in annual giving and major gifts. This includes the ability to plan, organize and implement fundraising activities effectively, as well as participate in high-level individual, corporate, and/or foundation solicitations. The demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects and personally ask and close gifts is also needed. We are seeking candidates that have the willingness to travel and work occasional weekend/evening hours. Successful candidates will have experience with dealing effectively and comfortably with high-level donor prospects. Candidates will also need to have demonstrated computer competency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and preferably have knowledge of Advance or other comparable fundraising systems.
