St. Leonard’s Ministries mission is to empower formerly incarcerated men and women to lead whole and productive lives. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors of diverse giving levels through annual appeal mailings, social media, events and individualized outreach. This professional will develop and implement strategies to deepen engagement with existing donors as well as grow the agency’s donor base. The Individual Giving Manager reports to Development Director and works closely with the Executive Director and Program Directors.
Manage stewardship relationships with individual donors and maintain sensitivity to the needs of donors.
Create individualized donor cultivation strategies, including hosting site visits and personalizing donor solicitation proposals and stewardship reports.
From cultivation to solicitation to stewardship, build relationships with prospects who have the capacity and affinity to donate a major gift.
Oversee appropriate recognition opportunities for donors, including special events, targeted print and online publications, and/or physical permanent acknowledgements.
Develop new donor prospect lists based on giving history, research, and anecdotal knowledge. Identify existing and new individual donors who have potential to become major gift donors.
Develop and implement targeted outreach to lapsed/lapsing donors.
Manage annual appeal mailings (two annually) and quarterly newsletter mailings.
Manage social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).
Compose monthly e-newsletters and additional stewardship materials.
Manage gift entry and acknowledgement process for individual donors using Little Green Light.
Maintain individual giving webpage and online donation platform.
Assist with the development and ongoing management of Auxiliary Board.
Collaborate with Development Director on event planning, marketing material design and content, grant prospecting, and grant writing projects.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in nonprofit fundraising in an individual giving or major gifts role.
Serve as a professional, warm, and articulate representative of St. Leonard’s while working closely with donors.
Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Prepared to work in a small-shop, collaborative environment as a team-player.
Strong writing skills with which to create persuasive outreach letters and other communications.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience working with a fundraising CRM, Little Green Light experience a plus.
Facility with Constant Contact and social media platforms.
Graphic design experience is a plus.
