Determines the eligibility of applicants to take the ASCP Board of Certification International examinations. Reviews and evaluates supporting documentation submitted by applicants, and interpretation of current eligibility requirements. Maintains applicant database records and processes all applicant correspondence. Answers questions regarding eligibility requirements from applicants, candidates and Advisory Board representatives.
The Evaluator must be knowledgeable about international eligibility requirements and procedures for examination for certification/qualification categories in order to accurately process applications and determine eligibility for examination. The Evaluator must possess cross-cultural sensitivity in addition to excellent oral and written communication skills for assisting international constituents.
Processes applications for international examination categories.
Determines examination eligibility and notifies applicants accordingly.
Responsible for database maintenance of applicants’ files, including name and address changes.
Provides courteous and professional customer service.
Responds to correspondence/inquiries relating to international examination categories and the examinations.
Determines applicant eligibility based on specific requirements for each country which may include official transcripts and/or baccalaureate degrees.
Determines applicant eligibility for examination by reviewing reference forms submitted by employers for appropriate work/training experience.
Notifies applicants of their status (deficient, eligible) by maintaining application status in the personify database evaluation process module.
Prepares pass/fail applications and contents for scanning.
Provides courteous and professional customer service to applicants and appropriate international liaisons.
Educational Background– Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university preferred.
Work Experience– Minimum of three (3) years related experience. Experience with international community preferred.
Special Training/Skills–Spanish speaker preferred. Excellent oral communication and written skills required. Knowledge of Windows, Word, and ability to operate database management system. Excellent research skills.
