The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) is seeking a full-time office manager/bookkeeper. This new position is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and financial activities associated with TSHP and the TSHP Research & Education Foundation. In addition, the position assists with other projects and activities, including TSHP’s Annual Seminar and board meetings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including timely and accurate invoice and check preparation and mailing, timely and accurate journal entries, tracking invoices, preparing 1099s for vendors, reconciling monthly bank and investment statements, and responding to billing and reimbursement inquiries.
Process all donor gifts and prepare and send acknowledgments.
Produce accurate financial reports and analyses for review and distribution.
Process membership dues and respond to related inquiries.
Coordinate logistics and provide support for all Board and Executive Committee meetings.
Manage office operations and oversee miscellaneous administrative tasks.
Assist as needed with Councils, Committees, Sections, and/or Task Forces.
Other tasks as assigned.

The Office Manager/Bookkeeper must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment and produce high-quality and consistently error-free work. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and office administrative functions. Applicants must have an excellent working knowledge of Quickbooks and laws, regulatory requirements, generally accepted standards (including GAAP), and financial best practices. Association experience and/or experience working with membership databases is a plus.
