The George Mason University School of Integrative Studies (SIS), a program within the College of Humanities and Social Science (CHSS), is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic applicant for a benefited, full-time, nine-month Term (nontenure-track, renewable contract) Assistant Professor or Instructor in Integrative Studies to begin Fall 2018 with expertise and teaching experience in civic engagement, leadership, and nonprofit studies. The teaching load for this position will be 4:4. Service to the school is required. 4:4 teaching load of undergraduate courses with an interdisciplinary focus on civic engagement, leadership, and nonprofit studies. Courses taught include INTS 204: Leadership Theory & Practice; INTS 331: The Nonprofit Sector; INTS 404: Ethics & Leadership; INTS 431: Principles of Fundraising; and INTS 435: Leadership in a Changing Environment.
Graduate degree in related discipline;
Candidates must have experience teaching at the postsecondary-level;
Good citizenship in terms of service is critical as is the ability to work well with colleagues.
Ph.D. in a related discipline
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience, up to $45,000.00
