The law school offers a fully ABA-approved Juris Doctor (JD) in three-year and part-time formats, as well as an Honors Program. Students may also earn an online M.A. in Law, an on-campus LL.M. in Human Rights, or an on-campus or online LL.M. in American Legal Studies. The new dean will report directly to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and will serve as the leader and chief academic administrator of the school.
The dean’s position offers a unique opportunity for a talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative leader to guide a team of highly credentialed, experienced practitioners and exceptional staff to educate and mentor students in the legal professions. The dean also will oversee growth of the school’s prestigious centers: The Center for Ethical Formation; and The Center for Global Justice, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law. The dean will be responsible for articulating and communicating the school’s distinctives and unique value proposition; developing and implementing new revenue opportunities; delineating a clear plan to ensure robust career placement opportunities for law school graduates; and providing innovative approaches to teaching and learning to expand reach, promote quality, and increase enrollment.
Regent Law seeks a dynamic Christian leader with significant legal, judicial, and academic administrative experience. The candidate must be an excellent scholar with outstanding academic credentials commensurate with a tenured appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor; an exceptional administrator with expertise in ABA accreditation and managing a diverse faculty; and a dedicated educator with a deep commitment to and love for students
Qualifications: An earned J.D. and/or LL.M. from an ABA-approved law school is required. Admission to the practice of law in at least one state is preferred.
Expectations: 1) Dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning, 2) A record of or potential for academic scholarship, and 3) A willingness to embrace the Law School and University Identity and Mission Statements. Applicants must subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
