Position Purpose: The primary objective of this position is to maintain, manage, and support the organization’s technology platforms including but not limited to iMIS and Higher Logic. The position will support, assist and train SAEM staff in the various IT platforms to continually improve SAEM’s use of technology to accomplish its mission.
Coordinates and manages technology-based projects with SAEM staff, leadership groups and outside vendors.
Manage the maintenance, integration, and upgrades of the SAEM AMS, website platform, reporting systems, and systems integration in conjunction with outside vendors and support staff.
Staff expert for all database related issues; handles all database maintenance.
Manage and coordinate all vendor tasks including acting as a bridge between external vendors and internal stakeholders
Work with staff to define new report requirements; translate existing reports to new technologies while maintaining consistency with historic reporting.
Ensure timely, effective and creative data reporting in a way that is most meaningful and readily accessible to staff and members.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills to translate reporting requests in order to accurately meet the actual information and deadline needs of users.
Oversee database operations and the creation of operations manual including annual review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance.
Oversees and manages the integration of iMIS with external systems. This includes integration with the SAEM Community website on the Higher Logic platform and assisting the communications department as needed with the Real Magnet email communications platform.
Responsible for managing and supporting SAEM’s iMIS database. Including but not limited to, identifying and resolving transactional data errors, broken functionality, report problems, and general system issues
Create and manage the set-up of the registration process for annual meeting, regional meetings, joint retreat, and other meetings in RiSE/iMIS and on the website.
Work with Director, Meetings and Membership to ensure technology and AV needs for SAEM’s annual meeting are met
Provides regular updates and post-attendance reporting to CEO and staff regarding current registration numbers and attendee lists for the annual meeting, joint retreat and regional meetings.
Manages SAEM’s Community site and supports staff and members encountering problems or questions about the site.
Provides support to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports.
Provides hands-on support for iMIS and SAEM’s community site to staff and SAEM members.
Manage the SAEM IT ticketing system to monitor the status of open tickets to ensure timely resolution and provide periodic updates on open tickets.
Resolve all database performance issues in conjunction with IT Support Specialist and/or AMS Consultant.
Assists in maintaining the SAEM websites as required or requested.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant technology field, or equivalent work experience and/or specialized training in relevant computer science applications, courses, and platforms.
Knowledge of data processing system design methods, techniques and standards.
Ability to work collaboratively or independently, without defined structure, take initiative to prioritize multiple tasks, assignments, and projects and meet quality requirements and time deadlines.
Working knowledge of various website technologies (HTML, XML, Sitefinity, and Higher Logic community platform)
Association or nonprofit experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good analytical and organizational skills with consistent attention to detail
Flexibility under competing time requirements and changing deadlines
Knowledge and/or experience with mobile computing
