Under the guidance of the executive director, the fiscal manager serves as the finance and human resources administrator of the agency, including management of the operating budget of approximately $3 million.
This senior staff position includes a broad spectrum of duties and responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in both fiscal and human resources arenas. Fiscal experience in the nonprofit sector preferred; knowledge of human resources management extremely helpful.
Flexibility is critical to success in managing the varied responsibilities and competing demands of the position. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail a must.
Oversee accounts payable/receivable, revenues and expenses; perform cash tracking.
Maintain financial accounts, general ledger and reporting systems as required by various funding sources.
Oversee all financial aspects of various grants, program budgets, etc. ensuring expenditures are aligned and consistent with grant requirements.
Assist in preparation of all financial reporting to various funding sources.
Coordinate annual audit activities.
Assist in the development and management of program budgets.
Manage HR activities in terms of salary and benefits package, payroll, on-boarding, agency insurance renewals and other related activities.
Work with other supervisory level staff on day to day human resources issues.
Facilitate work of the Finance and Personnel Committees of the Board of Directors.
Serve as back-up operations manager in lieu of the office manager.
Work closely with the E.D. and accounting consultant to analyze all aspects of the organization for sustainability.
