The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is currently seeking candidates for the position of Senior Vice President of Advancement. The Senior Vice President of Advancement reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for building the strategy, conducting fundraising, managing the performance of the resource development and marketing efforts of the organization.
About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County
In May 2018, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington made the decision to combine and form the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County. Once effective in October 2018, the merged organization will be the largest of its kind in Texas, leading the state in several key metrics of youth impact. Already the Boys & Girls Club is a leader in the local non profit community, making a fundamental impact on the lives of over 21,000 kids and teens. As the organization grows, incredible opportunity exists to rally support from partners, corporations, foundations and individuals throughout Tarrant County to make an even bigger impact. Have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
About the Position
This individual will:
Provide Leadership: Build the strategy and manage the functioning of the resource development and marketing efforts, working closely with Club staff and board leadership.
Secure Personal Fundraising Targets: Directly manage, along with a team, a portfolio donors and prospects from discovery, cultivation, engagement and solicitation to ongoing stewardship.
Manage Department to Fundraising Targets and Marketing Objectives: Oversee all fundraising and marketing activities. Areas of responsibility include special events, affiliated fundraising groups, cultivation events, grant writing, research and prospecting, reporting, database management, stewardship program, social media communication, public relations, digital and print creation, website and digital communication, direct mail, and internal marketing and communication support.
Reinforce Culture of Philanthropy: Champion philanthropy at all levels of the organization, advocating for donors of all types.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Fundraising or sales experience
Ability to work regular business hours with evenings, nights, and weekends as needed to provide oversight to attend events and address urgent matters.
Ability to identify, create and offer ongoing support to employees through training, encouragement and reinforcement in order to breed success and support a positive growth culture.
Ability to lead and motivate the work of a diverse, decentralized group of individuals, including volunteers and professionals in fundraising or sales activities that produce sustained and improved results over time.
Ability to plan, lead and shape organizational change and growth resulting in tangible progress towards stated operational and strategic goals
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and knowledgeably in both the written and spoken word. Must have sound knowledge of English composition, spelling, business correspondence and writing skills and must have ability to maintain effective relationships with youth, staff, Board of Directors, parents, volunteers, and the public
Demonstrated success managing relationships with varied community stakeholders. Demonstrated success working collaboratively with internal and external teams, and sharing information in an open and transparent fashion, addressing conflicts constructively
Must have a working knowledge of creating budgets and managing expenses
Must have a working knowledge of fundraising or sales practices and philosophies
Must have experience in meeting and adapting to laws and regulations including internal policies and procedures. Includes considerable past experience training, managing and disciplining employees as needed to enforce policies and procedures. Must have ability to manage employee related situations with the highest degree of work maturity and professionalism possible
Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
Position requires driving personal vehicle and company vehicle. Candidate must have satisfactory driving record, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under company insurance the requirement is for the employee to be a minimum of age 21
