The Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track, Endowed Lecturer in Organizational Behavior position, beginning in Fall 2018. The contract is for two years and renewable. The specific academic home for the position will be in the Lewis Honors College, but the successful candidate will be expected to cultivate a mutually beneficial academic relationship with a department in the Gatton College of Business and Economics that aligns with their qualifications and interests, such as the Department of Management or Economics.
The ideal candidate would have prior teaching experience, significant organizational behavior and leadership experience, and educational credentials such as an MBA, juris doctorate, or PhD in Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Industrial and Labor Relations, or related fields. The primary job responsibility will be teaching classes to undergraduate honors students focused on organizational behavior. The successful candidate will participate in student advising and service opportunities in the area of organizational development, organizational behavior, and leadership. Course topics may include applied leadership, leadership and followership theories, leadership ethics, conflict resolution, interpersonal, group, and organizational communication, decision-making, nonprofit leadership, organizational theory, as well as behavior and change.
The lecturer position may include responsibilities for special programs on an as-needed basis. Typically, the distribution of effort will be 75% teaching, 18% program administration, 5% research/scholarship, and 2% Professional Development.
