This position will provide services to clients with substance use disorders who are enrolled in Medication - Assisted Treatment (MAT). The Staff Therapist will provide individual and group psychotherapy and support services, including appropriate case management functions in accordance with clients’ treatment plans and goals. The Staff Therapist will conduct Intake and Assessment/Treatment Planning for new clients and may perform alcohol/other drug evaluations. This position may act as liaison between PEER Services and outside resources, when authorized by the client and/or the program. This position is full-time and requires morning hours.
Key Job Responsibilities
Provide individual psychotherapy and case management services, as assigned. Responsibilities include: provide primary therapist functions as assigned; provide therapy, case management and urine drug screens in accordance with client’s treatment plan goals; provide regular review of client progress.
Facilitate outpatient groups utilizing evidenced based program curriculum as well as incorporating individual service plan goals of clients in treatment. Responsibilities to include: provide a group experience that is cohesive and supportive for clients; communicate with outside mandating court and agency workers in a timely manner and as required.
Provide intake services for new clients, as assigned, including Telephone Intake, Assessment and Treatment Planning.
Provide alcohol/other drug clinical evaluations as assigned.
Maintain good communication and collaborative relationships with community referring agencies to formulate appropriate collaborative intervention strategies.
Participate in agency training and in-services, as well as workshops and conferences.
Comply with all billing requirements for caseload as assigned.
Comply with toxicology testing and reporting.
Must be able to work M-F 7am-3pm
Work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team and coordinate treatment with our Medical Director and Registered Nurse.
Must have successfully completed a Master’s Program and carry the following license, OR is able to obtain license within 90 days of employment: LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Cannot have been convicted of any felony or had any subsequent incarceration for at least two years prior to the date of employment.
Interest in substance abuse treatment and open to both 12-Step based and Harm Reduction treatment.
