The Political Science Department at Bridgewater State University houses one of three the NASPAA Accredited Master of Public Administration programs in the state of Massachusetts. The department's faculty members are dedicated to the highest standards of teaching, scholarship and professional, university and community service. The undergraduate program offers degrees in four concentrations including international affairs, public administration, American politics and legal studies while the MPA program offers a concentration in civic and nonprofit leadership.
Two-thirds of our students are first-generation college students, students of color, and/or Pell Grant recipients; BSU is committed to the achievement of academic excellence by students from diverse backgrounds.
The Department of Political Science at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified and committed Part Time Faculty for the 2018/2019 academic year, who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with students.
Successful applicants will be expected to teach one credit modules in the Department’s Master of Public Administration Program and in the Massachusetts Certified Public Manager Program.
Specific course offerings for which Part Time Faculty are requested include:Human Resource Management, Leadership, Urban Planning, Economic Development, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Ethics, Sustainability, Survey Research, Quantitative Methods and Geographic Information Systems.
Courses may be offered on the main campus in Bridgewater or at satellite campus' in Attleboro and on Cape Cod.
A master’s degree in Public Administration or a related field.
Extensive administrative experience in the public or nonprofit sectors.
