Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Director and the Executive Director ("the Directors") of the International Finance and Economic Policy Concentration (IFEP) , the incumbent manages the day-to-day administration of the Concentration and assists with curriculum and program planning and development, resource mobilization and financial administration, communications, student advising and alumni relations for the Concentration.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Program Planning and Support: Support the Directors in planning and implementing the IFEP curriculum and related programming. Research, organize, and analyze data on concentration admission, enrollment, student progress, employment, current and prospective curricular offerings, course evaluations, and potential adjuncts. Organize the IFEP Gala for 300 current students, faculty and alumni, managing an $80,000 budget for the event. Support IFEP capstone workshops, including grant support, student travel arrangements and reimbursement, publicity, final reports, plenary sessions, briefings and final presentations. Update Canvas sites for IFEP courses and assist faculty members in updating materials. Manage updates and revisions of the IFEP website and calendar.
Career Services Liaison: Coordinate with the Office of Career Services (OCS), ensuring that IFEP maximizes the potential of its alumni network to find jobs and internships for current students. Develop a database of alumni, maintain relationships with potential alumni employers, and match students to jobs in compliance with OCS policies. Track effectiveness of various initiatives.
Staff Supervision: Recruit, train and oversee IFEP Program Assistants and Work Study employees. Direct student staff in making room and food reservations, preparing materials and publicity, collecting final reports, taking minutes, and doing related follow up.
Student Advising and Support: Advise a population of over 250 students on concentration requirements and direct them to appropriate resources. Update registration and degree audit forms and check degree audit forms against students' online transcripts.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Must have two years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational ability. Must have strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and/or databases.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree preferred. Prior experience in higher education or nonprofit administration highly preferred. Prior experience in program coordination highly desirable. Familiarity with the field of public policy and/or international policy strongly preferred.
