POSITIONS: Presidential Appointment - Clinical Assistant Professor
Location: Los Angeles
EFFECTIVE DATE: Open until filled
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree in Nursing or related field is required; a minimum of two years clinical care experience; teaching experience in a nursing education program; eligible for a current and unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license and a clear background check and drug screen. Successful candidates may be at junior, mid-career or senior levels of development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Terminal degree (ABD considered); teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing education program for both theory and clinical labs; record of published research and evidence of a current research agenda is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to achieving exceptional student learning, participation in shared faculty governance, and the Department's vision/mission to advance health through community engagement and partnerships.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach primarily undergraduate courses as assigned (some opportunities for graduate level teaching), facilitate student learning to achieve course learning outcomes; provide academic leadership to adjunct faculty in specialization; lead continuous quality improvement of curriculum and teaching effectiveness; scholarship commensurate with academic rank; apply for internal and/or external funding to support research/creative activity and/or student learning; advise undergraduate and graduate students; serve on Department, School, and University committees.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience and academic rank.

(Employment is contingent upon proof of the legal right to work in the United States. This proof must be provided prior to employment at the University.
