Magnet Schools of America (MSA) is seeking a Membership Coordinator to implement our membership process, increase membership revenue, and provide guidance to eight Board members who oversee their geographic regions for membership, and manage our database. We are seeking someone with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with an interest in education policy. We are looking for someone who is a team player, eager to learn and interested in developing over time.
Promote membership to sustain and grow new members;
Increase membership through marketing blasts and phone calls;
Communicate with members personally and electronically;
Organize information for news articles for our electronic newsletter and on the website;
Communicate with member districts to update members’ information in the organization’s membership database;
Work with Board members to develop and expand the role of the Regional Directors in each of their respective regions and work directly with the eight Regional Directors themselves; and
Work with the Executive Director, to whom the position reports, to develop membership value ideas.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred;
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and other computer technology software;
Proficient with customer relationship management (CRM) and/or association management software (AMS);
Experience preparing reports, forms, documents, newsletters, special event mailings, and general publications in an office environment;
Experience with nonprofits, membership recruitment and/or development;
Experience creating and delivering presentations during meetings and to small groups;
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; and
Must be able to travel, four times a year for conferences.
