Work in partnership with business users on business requirements, processes and systems. Provide knowledge and input to the business on the system implications of business process changes. Support business partners in defining target business processes by assessing current processes, globally and cross-organizationally. Help to identify consolidated, worldwide target processes. Collaborate across the organization to ensure seamless system integration across all business applications, systems, platforms and infrastructure in the global computing environment. This position will work closely with all aspects and all levels of the Human Resource organization as well as groups across the entire organization.
Analyze HR business requirements, assess alternative solutions, design develop and implement application system solutions. Work closing with the business and our SA/EA teams as required. Assist with PMO to ensure project scope, budget and timeline are managed.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical blueprint of the HR solution and processes. Develop process workflows aligned with system design and business requirements.
Documenting and evaluating required data and information, particularly data related to supporting HR transactions and reporting. Using modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through an organization to enhance project success.
Effectively articulate how the team can realize business value through process and technology. Lead with the business BA’s to deliver a total solution to support streamlined processes.
Deeply understand the HR business capabilities and business strategies. Incorporate customer feedback into the team’s solution architecture to support organizational business strategies.
Frequently monitor the business capability landscape to identify opportunities for greater long-term business value. Frequently monitor the industry solution landscape to track the development of available solutions, and identify opportunities for adapting the team’s solution architecture. Provide ongoing feedback to Enterprise Architecture team to ensure the framework remains relevant and useful.
This role will be responsible for project management of smaller size projects. Expected to deliver to budget, scope requirements and timeline and the ability to lead the delivery of project, change management and all aspects of project management methodology
Unit testing, integration testing support, review of business training materials
Hands on system configuration, particularly finance supporting applications
Review and update security/control compliance activities
Understand and support security role identification
Coordinate activities with global teams
Analyzing the business processes in an organization for inefficiencies
In depth understanding of HR business processes and how to configure HR applications to support those processes
Work with the Solution Architects to evaluation options in order to make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
Acting as liaison between HR business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team

Experience mapping business capabilities to long-term technology solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations; ability to translate technology impact into business terminology so business customers at all levels can understand
Relationship building and consulting skills, including development of effective relationships with senior business and IT leaders
Complex problem-solving knowledge and skills, including conflict resolution and facilitation
Proven track record of supporting the necessary business system application (Workday) with implementation experience preferred
Experience with implementing non-ERP solutions including bolt-on applications and interface development
Good knowledge of best practice business system implementation methodology
Solid understanding of best practices in business application design and development
Proven project management skills
Strong ability to successfully deliver in a changing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability and willingness to be versatile and flexible to work on application system projects in support of different business areas at various times
Must be results oriented
Must be hands-on
Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of management as well as individual contributors
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, with a degree in computer science desired
A minimum 10 years of IT software development experience with:
Minimum of 3 years supporting the Workday application
5 years of software development and / or system configuration
7 years supporting HR applications
This is a Limited Term Employee role as part of our parental leave program and targeted for 18 months starting in June/July 2017, however the start and end dates for this assignment may change.
