The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) is the Washington D.C.-based trade association representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries (timeshares). ARDA has almost 1,000 corporate members ranging from privately held firms to publicly traded corporations with extensive experience in shared ownership interests in leisure real estate. The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) has an immediate opening for an Educational Programming Coordinator. This professional will work under the supervision of the Vice President, Meetings and Convention and work directly with the Meetings Committee. This individual will assist with ARDA’s annual Convention, Fall Conference meeting, and Regional Meetings, as well as assisting with ARDA’s award program and the Meetings Committee Summer Planning Meeting. The Educational Programming Coordinator will also be responsible for the development and implementation of education sessions for Convention with input from staff and serve as the primary committee contact for all speaker and educational sessions.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate should have advanced knowledge of personal computers; good analytical and problem solving skills; knowledge of data gathering techniques; knowledge of principles and practices of an organization; excellent communication skills; and attention to detail and skilled follow through.
