The Cristo Rey Network is the largest network of high schools in the country enrolling only low-income youth. The Cristo Rey Network seeks a Staff Associate and Office Manager who will serve in a variety of capacities to support and enhance the day-to-day operations of the Cristo Rey Network national office. This is a critical support position that will require the ability to work closely and seamlessly with all members of the national staff.
Provide direct administrative support to members of the senior leadership team, most regularly for President & CEO and Chief Mission Officer.
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, practices, organization, and operations, and provide basic human resources support including but not limited to supporting the hiring process and managing new hire onboarding.
Oversee and manage all front and back of house needs for the office to ensure seamless functionality, including but not limited to the following:
- Maintain professional appearance of national office at all times - Ensure a welcoming environment - Manage supplies and oversee multiple large mailings each year - Answer and respond to general inquiries via phone and email - Communicate with building management (DePaul) to ensure compliance with tenant requirements and to request services on an as-needed basis
Provide critical logistical and material support for all Network-wide meetings, professional development convenings, and special events.
Assist national staff and school personnel with meeting and travel arrangements as requested for sizeable calendar of school visits and special projects.
Coordinate and schedule webinars, conference calls, and small meetings among and between national staff and school personnel.
Develop and maintain knowledge of Network standards for presentations and other proprietary materials; provide support in preparation and formatting of those materials.
Maintain accurate and updated contact lists of faculty and staff in all Cristo Rey schools.
Maintain accurate and updated user accounts for shared technology platforms utilized by Cristo Rey schools (e.g. Naviance).
May supervise or direct the activities of student worker(s) in the performance of administrative tasks.
May be assigned special responsibilities of a substantive and permanent nature as they arise and on an as-needed basis based on individual’s ability to take on new responsibilities.
This position is based at the Cristo Rey Network office in downtown Chicago, IL.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 3-5 years’ administrative experience in professional office environment; nonprofit experience preferred.
Commitment to work between 8:30 and 4:30pm five days per week, sometimes earlier or later as dictated by morning meetings, etc.
Excellent organizational, communication - oral and written -, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and with individuals across all organizational levels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be adaptable and able to handle multiple responsibilities at one time.
Some familiarity with content-sharing platforms preferred.
