The Staff Accountant assists the Director of Accounting in the preparation and maintenance of CPM’s financial records and transactions.
Prepare monthly journal entries for review, providing support for transactions.
Analyze and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Maintain fixed asset records and prepare journal entries for depreciation expense.
Month-end revenue reconciliations.
Monthly commission calculations and accruals.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements, variance analysis, and interim grant financial reporting.
Assist in work-paper preparation for annual audit.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to participation in special projects or ad hoc analyses as assigned.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new IT systems.
Ability to keep information confidential.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
Minimum 2 solid years accounting experience, non-profit a plus.
CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
