SmithBucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a Membership Engagement Associate to join our Healthcare & Scientific Unit in Chicago. This role is essential to our clients’ membership engagement and brand awareness initiatives, and offers exciting opportunities for growth and development in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You Will Do
Strategically manage and optimize content on multiple client websites geared towards different audiences (to include copyediting of existing content, gathering content from industry experts and/or content creation)
Develop and coordinate engaging email campaigns directed to both membership and patients
Serve as a point of contact for all movement related to public relations and media relations
Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders and contributors, with the opportunity to gain exposure to high-level industry professionals in the healthcare field
Contribute to various membership engagement-focused projects, with the ability to offer new insights and ideas

You demonstrate excellent writing and copyediting skills
You have an excellent attention to detail and strong project management skills
You enjoy working with both well-established and ambiguous projects requiring a higher level of thought and research
You exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal collaborators and external stakeholders and contributors
You have the ability to travel approximately 5%
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution
1-3 years of relevant professional experience, to include experience in writing, communications or other related field
Experience working with volunteers and/or in a nonprofit environment
Web and HTML experience
Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
