The VCAF reports to the Chancellor and provides leadership, oversight and stewardship to all aspects of the University's financial resources which includes total revenues of over $900 million. The VCAF serves as a strategic advisor to the Chancellor and executive staff on fiscal affairs, administrative and facility operations. This individual recommends financial and administrative objectives, policies, programs and practices that ensure the sound financial present and future of the University. The VCAF directs and coordinates activities related to current facility maintenance as well as new facility planning and construction. In addition to these duties, this individual serves as the treasurer of the ECU Foundation, Inc., the ECU Educational Foundation, Inc., ECU Real Estate Foundation, Inc., and Green Town Properties, Inc., and is a voting member of the board of the ECU Medical and Health Sciences Foundation, Inc. The VCAF serves as the Executive Treasurer of the ECU Alumni Association and as an ex-officio (non-voting) member of the Board. The VCAF will also serve on the board of a new nonprofit organization, currently called VECU Medical Group, which is a result of an integration of the medical clinical practices of ECU Physicians and Vidant Medical Group.
