The National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) seeks a full-time Manager of Technology Services. The position reports to the Deputy CEO. The Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the information technology environment as well as researching, recommending and managing the implementation of any new and enhanced technology solutions for NACUA in collaboration with other staff members. The Manager oversees project management responsibilities for implementing new technologies or enhancements/upgrades to existing systems; reviews departmental requests for technology and make recommendations, as appropriate, to ensure that staff members have the technology tools to perform their responsibilities; evaluates technology and make recommendations to ensure compatibility and effectiveness; is responsible for working with and managing NACUA’s IT managed services vendor on the design, implementation and maintenance of a secure, reliable network infrastructure; assists the Deputy CEO with development of the annual IT budget; interacts with NACUA members, as well as reviews data from member surveys to ascertain what types of technology services they would like provided by NACUA and suggest changes as a result; ensures the continual functioning of mission-critical operations; coordinates and manages IT vendor relationships; oversees the outsourced IT help desk function; maintains files on all IT vendors and related contracts; and administers NACUANET (the Association’s professional networking platform). The Manager supervises two full-time positions: Webmaster and Technology & Data Specialist.
The successful candidate must have proficiency in application software and relational database technology; proficiency in network infrastructure including operating systems, firewalls, switching and routing; and ability to set and manage priorities judiciously. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Must have working knowledge of websites and website design. Awareness of and passion for technology and its emerging trends preferred.
Specific requirements include: a bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent education and experience; five or more years of progressive IT experience; experience in working with nonprofit associations preferred. Working knowledge and experience with ClearVantage Association Management System, Sitefinity Content Management System and HigherLogic Professional Networking Platform desired.
Additional Salary Information: The salary range for this position is between $105,000 and $110,000, depending on the type and level of experience, and the position includes excellent benefits.
