Caris is seeking a LCSW to provide supervision, leadership, and counseling on the client services team which might be you.
Location: All Caris Counseling Sites
Caris LCSW must exemplify a committed and consistent walk of Christian faith and dependence on Jesus. They must have a personal calling to ministry as well as the specific mission and vision of Caris. Counselors need to be in alignment with the grace filled approach utilized by Caris.
Supervise Client Service Staff
Consult with the Director of Programs around best counseling practices and policies
Oversee Client Services led staff meetings
Oversee unpaid Client Service team members including interns and volunteers
Serve as a point person for Connection Group Leaders
Communicate program staffing needs/improvement plan
Assist with the planning and implementation of special events and activities
Provide Caris counseling and case management services to clients
Implement all policies, procedures, and decisions set forth by the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team
Identify client need(s) and respond with counseling, referrals, follow-up and client support in line with the Caris mission
Lead Connection Group, workshops, and special events as needed
Receive and incorporate appropriate feedback into curriculum and programming
Make program recommendations regarding client need
Oversee group leader training, development, and ongoing support
General Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain up to date and accurate client documentation
Coordinate effective and timely follow-up of all clients served
Troubleshoot and mediate jobsite conflicts
Attend site specific staff meetings
Train and coach client service team on policies and procedures
Assist with the coordination and management of group details and volunteer relations
Maintain positive working relationships with community agencies, churches, businesses, etc.
Actively engage potential clients
Represent the organization at events as needed
No phone calls.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree in Social Work with a LCSW in good standing. Candidate must have experience supervising counselors. Candidate will have sharp clinical skills/judgment with a solid theoretical orientation. Candidate will be well organized, able to work independently and possess strong communication skills. Current Caris sites are located in the Loop of Chicago and South Barrington, Il.
