Position Summary: Design, develop and deliver excellent learning experience for graduate students to assist their pursuit of professional skills and fulfillment of their career aspirations in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and the social impact of business. Contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in these same areas through high quality publication and/or consulting. Fully participate in the life of the program through engagement with students outside formal classroom obligations, service to the institute, and engaging in consensus-based decisions in the MBA program. This appointment is for two years.
Responsibilities General Responsibilities:
Teach 5 classes per year (Fall, Spring semesters) for a total of 15 credit hours
Meet MBA standards for scholarly academic publishing
Responsible for curriculum development and delivery. Be available on campus to meet with student and colleagues during the academic year. Maintain professional currency in field of expertise. Student career advising. Attendance at faculty meetings. Participate in events and activities that are essential to the MBA program and the wider Institute.
Qualifications Education: Ph.D. in business, economics, sociology, political science, entrepreneurship, or other relevant field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Active, engaged pedagogical approaches.
Full grasp of cutting edge practices in the area of social entrepreneurship.
Passion for working together with students in emergent learning contexts.
Well-developed network with private sector and nonprofit enterprises.
Experience: Demonstrated previous success in teaching entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and/or the social impact/obligations of private enterprise, preferably at the graduate level and in an accredited MBA program.
