Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, the Assistant Director of Recruitment, is responsible for day-to-day management of recruitment functions and staff. Working closely with the Director of Recruitment, the Assistant Director manages outreach and recruitment activities, outcomes and effectiveness. The position is also responsible for implementation of the strategic recruitment plan.
Manage and lead a team of Outreach Coordinators, including training, performance management and consistent evaluation
Manage day-to-day operation of recruitment and outreach, including all associated processes
Provide oversight to ensure quality control over information and other deliverables produced within assigned functions
Develop and maintain the master recruitment calendar to effectively communicate priorities with internal and external stakeholders
Foster careful stewardship of prospective students, parents and school counselors through effective use of a CRM solution and targeted communication strategies
Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from information meetings, open house events, fair attendance and various outreach events
Collect, analyze and present quantitative data on conversion rate of leads and applicants by school, region and/or state
Utilizing advanced analytical skills, create reports and matrix to make data driven decisions for new student recruitment and program enrollment
Effectively manage expense reports per JHU policy for all assigned staff
Work closely and in collaboration with Asst. Director of Operations and Asst. Director of Strategic Initiatives for all student and parent touch points
Collaborate and work effectively with enrollment/registration team
Relationship management with school contacts (counselors/administrators/etc.)
Perform all other duties as assigned

Five years of progressive experience in recruitment and admissions in higher education.
Required Special Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders in and outside of the organization
Admission database and software applications
CRM solutions and implementations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Presentation skills to both small and large audiences of varied backgrounds
Ability to take initiative on critical projects leading to program enrollment growth in a timely manner
Proven track record to multi-task and problem-solve strategically and innovatively while managing a productive team

Physical Requirements for the Job:
Ability to sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
Occasional movement about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, various workstations, etc. including movement from floor to floor using elevators and stairs.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and printer. Dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse pad and other office machinery
Frequent communication with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations verbally and in writing.
Position also requires a degree of mobility common to working in an office environment; bending, kneeling or standing during events and presentations may be required.
