Family Therapeutic Services provides outpatient individual, family and group therapy to children/youth up to age 21 and their families/caregivers. Services include early intervention and therapy for children, adolescents and families experiencing a wide scope of emotional and behavioral need areas such as social, interpersonal or familial functioning, history of sexual abuse and other trauma, cognitive; home, school or community functioning, risk of out of home placement, or identified psychiatric disorder. Services are individually and collaboratively developed and are family centered, built on child and family strengths, culturally sensitive, and needs and preference driven. Our services are developmentally and age appropriate, short term, targeted and built on Evidence-based treatment models.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency. Hires, develops, trains, manages, and retains clinical program staff and a clinical team(s) to ensure customer satisfaction and culturally competent service delivery. Functions as the liaison between team and community partners. Provides fiscal stewardship of team, acts as a bridge between fiscal and other departments. Ensures provision of high quality service by program staff consistent with the scope of practice applicable as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by Medi-Cal regulations and the California Welfare & Institutions (W&I) Code.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree (MA/ MS) required. Five (5) years of direct clinical experience required, including three (3) years’ experience in the area of children’s mental health preferred. Experience working with Serious Emotional Disabilities (SED) youth required.
PROGRAM SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be 2 years post-licensure and eligible to provide BBS supervision hours to interns. Experience in Medi-Cal documentation, TF-CBT and other Evidence-Based practices preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree (MA/ MS) in Psychology, Social Work or related field preferred. Experience interfacing with County agencies preferred. California licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) eligible preferred Bi-lingual and/or bi-cultural knowledge and experience preferred.
