Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, a nonprofit law firm striving to remove barriers to justice by empowering vulnerable communities through legal advocacy, is expanding its IT department with an IT Trainer position. The home office for the IT Trainer can be at these CLSMF locations: Daytona Beach, Inverness, Kissimmee, Ocala, Orlando, Palatka, Sanford, and Tavares.
The IT Trainer manages designs, develops, coordinates and conducts all IT training programs. They report to and receives general direction from the Director of Information Technology on training functions. Responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. The IT Trainer will also work with the Information Technology Systems Manager to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems when necessary. The IT Trainer also reviews technical documentation of IT systems to make sure knowledge is current.
As an IT Trainer at CLSMF, essential job functions are to:
Map out annual training plans for administration and legal staff.
Design and develop training programs.
Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, and professional development classes).
Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions.
Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques.
Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
Gather feedback from after each educational session.
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.
Research and recommend new training methods, like gamification.
Perform tier 1 remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions when necessary.
Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
The qualifications of an IT trainer at CLSMF include:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in appropriate field and three years work experience with comparable responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven work experience as a IT Trainer, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role.
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting.
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation.
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques.
Experience with e-learning platforms.
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
Must have advanced skills in Microsoft OS’s, Microsoft Office 2016 and Office 365 applications, and general PC knowledge.
Experience in LegalServer, Best Case Bankruptcy, Divorce Planner Analyzer, and Abila MIP Fund Accounting preferred.
Must be able to provide exceptional customer service.
Strong problem-solving and documentation skills preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills preferred.
Must be able to visit CLSMF offices, attend meetings and/or other functions at various locations throughout service area. Out of area travel and overnight stays may be required.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Expenses for relocation are reimbursed up to a pre-determined threshold.
