The Manager of Development, Events, and Alumni manages fundraising operations, plans all conferences and events for Mortar Board, directs the Mortar Board Alumni Association (MBAA), and engages alumni and alumni chapters. The manager develops and implements long and short-term plans to secure annual, major and planned gifts from alumni, friends, volunteers, corporations, foundations and other entities in support of the mission and priorities of the Mortar Board National Foundation; manages the Mortar Board Fellowship Program; builds alumni engagement and grows the number of members joining and active in the MBAA and identifies venues, plans and creates optimal environments for live and virtual Mortar Board events.
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; track record of implementing successful fundraising techniques and working with alumni; experience in cost-effective event management; comfort with educational methodologies for virtual and live programming are required; experience in use of Microsoft Office and web-based association management software; knowledge of chapter-based, national collegiate organizations; and understanding of higher education protocols, operations and current events.
Very strong creative sensibilities for working successfully in a national nonprofit; excellent oral and written communication; ability to manage a budget; ability to interact positively with internal and external audiences; knowledge of Mortar Board; Mortar Board membership.
Target Salary: $47,476.00 - $49,000.00 Annually
