SAM is seeking a new team member to fill the role of Membership Coordinator. This is a full-time position with the primary responsibility of coordinating the comprehensive strategy and implementation of association membership services for three associations managed by SAM – the Science Teachers Association of Texas (STAT), Charter Fishermans Association (CFA), and REOMAC.
Responsibilities include: building and sustaining relationships with members to promote recruitment and retention; volunteer strategy and special activity management; maintaining association databases for membership; determining and coordinating member services and benefits; supporting the event registration process; and organizing the logistics to run efficient conference registration processes.
The Membership Coordinator must be a skilled project manager who is self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to collaborate with other employees in a fast-paced, flexible environment. Attention to detail and excellent time management skills are essential in this position.
Post-secondary degree or certification
A minimum of 3 years’ experience with membership-based organization
Experience working with content management systems or association management systems or related software
Experience with Word processing, spreadsheets, email, data entry, management of database software is necessary
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members in writing and verbally is necessary
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Experience with Mac OS
Significant experience with web-based CRM or AMS Software/Management System
Bilingual skills highly desirable
