Conducts insightful analysis that evaluates the environment through the lens of constituents; proactively identifies opportunities to advance the Agency’s mission and recommend internal and external strategies to address issues; develops strategic partnerships with constituents and key stakeholders to enhance awareness, refine areas of focus and address shared challenges; represents the Constitutional Tax Collector at a variety of local events; creates strategies and plans with measurable outcomes; reports results and takes corrective action when needed; develops print and social media content based on integrated communication plans and marketing campaigns.
7 or more years in Civic Engagement, Public Affairs, Regulatory or Government Relations; strong working knowledge of state legislative, regulatory, government and political processes; demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across agencies and institutions; excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong knowledge of social media management; proactive work style and ability to manage multiple projects with hard deadlines.
Experience working for an elected official is not required but strongly preferred. This position requires a valid Florida Driver’s License and 30% local travel. Local knowledge preferred.
The Constitutional Tax Collector’s Office, serving Palm Beach County, is an independent agency responsible for collecting more than $3 billion in revenue which is distributed to Palm Beach County’s 95 taxing authorities.
We also serve the state as an agent for the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), the Department of Environmental Protection, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Department of Revenue.
