Oliverian is a nonprofit coeducational boarding high school committed to students who have struggled in more traditional settings. We take a unique approach to learning by striking a balance between structure and flexibility, support and challenge, and individual and community. Our faculty and staff guide each student toward intellectual and personal self-exploration and growth. We provide students with the opportunity to develop the skills, confidence, responsibility, and independence they need to transition successfully to college and life.
The school nurse plays a key role in the lives of the students at the Oliverian School, by being the manger of their health. The school nurse serves to respond to health concerns, educate as to healthy choices and promote the students physical and mental wellbeing.
The opportunity to be a school nurse in a small caring boarding school environment allows a skilled professional the ability to directly influence young people in regards to developing needed young adult skills in the area of health awareness, self-care and independence.
The work environment at Oliverian is strongly team oriented and involves giving and receiving input and support from all the various departments of the school in order to effectively provide a safe, nurturing and comfortable living environment for our students.
