The controller serves as the general coordinator of the Association's and affiliated companies' accounting functions. This position is responsible for the daily activities relating to the general ledger and also supervises an Accounting Coordinator.
Responsibilities include: •Preparation of monthly closing JEs for all companies •Preparation of financial statements for affiliate companies (for profit, foundation, and PAC for review •Reconciliation of all bank statements •Overseeing accounts receivables and accounts payable functions •Preparation of monthly sales tax reports •Coordinating transfer of funds and investments for all entities •Overseeing the BankPac federal and state reporting •Assisting the CFO with annual budgets for all entities •Coordinating all banking account maintenance functions •Maintaining chart of accounts and general ledger •Serving as backup for payroll processing •Supervising Accounting Coordinator Other duties as assigned by CEO or CFO or FBA Board of Directors
Four year degree in accounting or finance and at least three years of accounting experience and one year of supervisory experience. Employee should be familiar with computerized accounting systems and generally accepted accounting principles. Knowledge of fund accounting and an intermediate knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office products is desired. Knowledge of iMIS management database and Microsoft Dynamics is highly desired.
