Cape Henry Collegiate is seeking a financial leader who, as Director of Finance, will serve as a member of the leadership team and leads the school’s non-academic operations including its financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community.
Cape Henry Collegiate seeks a CPA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or an MBA with a focus in accounting to serve as the Director of Finance. The Director is expected to professionally guide the business office staff while managing the School's resources to ensure that they are sufficient to carry out the School's mission. The Director of Finance will work directly with the Head of School, as well as division directors and department heads, in overseeing the finances of the School including: human resources, legal matters, risk management, budget preparation, financial accounting, reporting and analysis, preparation of financial statements and tax returns, preparation of financial projections, oversight of accounting, audit, payroll and payables; and the preparation of other special reports or additional analysis, as needed.
The successful candidate will have completed a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with some managerial responsibilities. Independent school or college experience is a plus. A working knowledge of nonprofit accounting is preferred. Experience with Blackbaud’s Financial Edge software will be positive.

Requirements: 5 years of financial management experience in roles of increasing responsibility; bachelor's degree with a CPA license.
