We are seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Fundraising Database Coordinator – Raiser’s Edge. This position is based out of the Marklund Hyde Center, located in Geneva, Illinois.

The Fundraising Database Coordinator – Raiser’s Edge will serve as a member of the Development Team and be responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the donor database through data management, analysis, and reporting. This person will be the donor database "power user" and in-house expert with a special emphasis on extracting data, and maintaining constituent records. He/She will be responsible for updating constituent records on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate information. Learn best practices for using the system and periodically update team members on new procedures to efficiently and accurately accomplish tasks in the donor database to support Marklund’s fundraising goals.
DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS
Ensures accurate data collection and data integrity through regular data checks and reviews of donor records and fields
Works directly with the Development Team to capture, maintain and extract detailed reports and data in a timely manner regarding Marklund’s donors, events, volunteers and clients through Raiser’s Edge
Files gift entry paperwork according to Marklund policy
Implement the gift acknowledgement process in a timely basis with the highest level of accuracy (Includes preparation of letters, securing proper signatures, photocopying, and filing)
The identification, removal, resolution and integration of conflicting or duplicate records
Maintenance and correction of all demographic and personal data
Proactively engages in training and brings best practices and innovations regarding Marklund’s donor database to the benefit of the team and meeting fundraising goals
Manage all online contributions and ensure transition into the donor database
Coordinate month end reconciliation with the Finance Department
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL REPORTING
Ability to use batch processing
Generates weekly and monthly donor reports as requested by Development and Executive Teams
Generates monthly KPI data reports
Maintains Marklund Donor Database Manual
Provide data support for major gift and planned gift efforts as requested
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast-paced, dynamic office environment with constant interaction and communication with internal and external contacts, requiring ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive donor, client and volunteer information, and maintain good working relationships.

Bachelor’s degree preferred, along with at least 3 years of experience in nonprofit database management, strong communication skills - both written and verbal, with exceptional attention to detail and data verification.
Candidate will possess a strong proficiency and demonstrated progressive use of Raiser’s Edge donor database software, as well as a strong proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
