Status: Part-time – 15 to 20 hours per week (3 days in office - Northbrook, IL)
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Strategic and confidential development duties related to organizing and implementing an ongoing Endowment Campaign, including prospect research, administrative management, donor stewardship and support for the campaign Steering Committee.
Coordinate activities of the Co-Chairs Committee, including scheduling and logistics, meeting agendas and notes, monitoring progress on action items following meetings and providing follow-up reports as requested
Conduct prospect research to identify prospective donors and to gather information about current donors in order to prepare a briefing sheet on each prospect
Ensure that donors and prospective donors are thanked appropriately and receives the materials or follow up action items promised, if applicable
Update moves management chart
Work with the team in executing a public relations/communications plan
Assist in planning and executing small campaign related events (might be evening or weekend)
Research and coordinate donor recognition plaques
Coordinate activities with the Chief Development Officer regarding annual fund donors and prospects.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
2 or more years of nonprofit fund development experience
Endowment or Capital Campaign experience a strong plus
Excellent working knowledge of software applications including Word and Excel
Knowledge of Results Plus database and Donor Search database a plus
Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail
Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Strong judgment – the ability to identify critical information and use it to choose effective courses of action
Additional Salary Information: Contract position. Compensation starts at $21 per hour. May be negotiable commensurate with experience. Please do not call office.
