The Urgent Care Association of America ("UCAOA") Online Education Specialist provides leadership and coordinates online educational programs including live webinars, online library, and the Urgent Care Management Certificate program. As an integral part of the professional development team, the Online Education Specialist works closely with UCAOA staff, board members, volunteers and faculty as well as attendees and constituent groups to advance the mission and vision of the Association through innovative programming and support.
This is a part-time position with anticipated work hours of approximately 20 - 25 per week.
Working collaboratively across the association, the Online Education Specialist ensures that innovative online product and services delivery are infused into all UCAOA programs, publications, and culture. The incumbent in this position will be involved in the development and implementation of all online education and webinars including the Urgent Care Management Certificate which UCAOA intends to transition into a Certification process for interested urgent care professionals. This position reports to the Director of Education.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative and creative self-starter who can also work independently. This position is able to expand upon existing programs and relationships and produce new ones, which will generate revenue, support and increase membership, and diversify program offerings. The candidate will:
·Demonstrate the ability to collaboratively and actively work in a team environment. Great emphasis is placed on positive interaction and cooperation with and among members of the management team as well as other department directors and staff and, most especially, faculty and volunteers, to achieve association goals and objectives;
·Experience in a professional association, higher education, or similar professional setting preferred. Demonstrated experience with existing and emerging technologies;
·Demonstrate an ability to develop, adapt, and apply new formats and technologies to professional development events;
·Demonstrate writing, communication, and project management skills;
·Have excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituency groups, members, and staff as well as give presentations to members, staff, and stakeholders
Some experience with a learning management system strongly preferred (UCAOA uses YM)
